Friday

Well, Friday is finally here. it seemed like a very long week. I think I might have to go out tonight and party a little bit. I also need to remember to put the new tags on my truck as they expire at the end of the month. I don't want to get pulled over. Ever. I can't believe that I even remembered to take out the garbage this morning before coming to work. The only problem that I have with the service is that they only collect recyclables every other week. I tend to built up milk cartons and juice bottle too fast and fill up my bin quickly. Oh well. I guess I just need to start drinking more beer, you don't have to recycle those bottles ;)

Computer

I recently built a new PC for home. I have decided to sell my old PC to my friend, for a fairly cheap price. The old machine is still quite comperable for todays use. A 2.4 MHz P4 with a GB of ram and an ATI Radeon 9800 video card. It was top of the line when I built is a little over two years ago. Anyway, over the last couple of years I had ripped all of my CD's onto the hard drive to import onto my IPod. I have about 300 CD's so as you might now, this procedue cost me a lot of man hours. I wanted to save all of this work so I installed the drive into my new machine to pull my songs off. For the countless hours that it took me to get my albums onto the PC the first time, it took less then fifteen minutes to transfer the files from my 80 GB drive to my new 160 GB drive. Now I have to put the drive back in the old machine and format it so my friend can load his own OS. He will now be able to play games that were released in the year 2000 to today. He is currently running a 400 MHz Pentium 2. I took my DVD Burner and Drive out of the machine to put into my new box. I told him that all he had to buy would be a CD burner or DVD drive. He said that he would just put his current DVD and CDR into it. I told him to spend the extra fifty dollars and get something that wasn't made in the 90's. He agreed.

It's been awhile

It's been awhile, since I submitted anything to my blog. I am not sure why, I just have not felt like I had anything to share. The holidays are over, including this weekends company party, it was the worst one we have ever had. The thing was over by 10PM. Wow. Also had our city dart tournament this weekend, it was also a shamble. One of my regular players decided that he was not going to show up until later. Three hours into our day. This means I had to use my sub, the team was bracketed with his average, we gave up 7 points per dart using our sub. This is a large handicap to overcome. We missed bracket play by 1 game. All I can say is if we had Dusty, we would have played on Sunday and had a chance to successfully defend our title. I am very upset with him right now. The team itself didn't really stand up to what we should have done. I can take some of the blame by not taking some serious outs out. With out these I ended up being blocked the majority of the day. Even my normally consistant players struggled on Saturday, even I had two games in the middle that I was not up to par. It was rough. At least I got a day to relax and even got to see the Vikings actually win a playoff game, and against the Packers. When they hit the 31 point mark, I started to sweat. If the last two games against the Pack had not ended up 34 - 31 for the Pack with last second field goals. Looking forward to the Eagles game next weekend to see if they can avenge the loss on my birthday.
