Hopefully everyone had a good holiday weekend. The three day weekend was ok but I think it could have been more fun. Oh well. Big D's party was a good time on Saturday. Got to see some people I have not seen since last year. Also some guy that I did not recognize said hello like we were old friends, I hate it when that happens. I am really bad with faces, unless they are shaking their asses in front of me, almost never forget a dancer. LOL

Ahh humor
Hoby happened across this site and I started to read a little bit of it. It is quite humorous. One of my favorite passages is included below. This guy has a warped sense of life. Good reading if you have some time on your hands. Be advised that unless you are like me, you might get offended.
Pregnant chick- Heeeyyyy! (In that annoying way dames greet each other and try to sound all excited) You look rough today...what happened to you?”Other broad- “er…well, nice to see you too.”
Then the pregnant chick started apologizing all over herself for being such a dick and they talked about other stuff.
For some reason I wondered what would have happened if the other chick had said, “Thanks for noticing. I hope your baby is retarded.”
That kind of response would be like murdering your neighbor’s entire family because they accidentally opened your mail one day, but I just think about stuff like that.

Memorial Day Weekend
The three day weekend coming up will be great. Hopefully the weather will be nice enough to enjoy the days off. Big D is having a party on Saturday night and I think I might have to check that out. It should be a good time. There will be a hog roast and some good old fashioned partying. Hopefully noone gets the idea to bring a gallon of milk or anything like that.

Aye! Captain
I am thinking that tonight will be a good night to spend some quality time with the Captain. Maybe play a little KOTOR or Call of Duty to help pass the time. I might have to get a co pilot cause I think the Captain is getting a little long in the tooth. We will see though. I did replenish the Coke supply.
Pissin'
June is almost here, and yet we are still getting the rainy bullshit. The old saying is April showers bring May flowers. It is supposed to be nice by May. We have had some decent days but it seems like the rainy, windy crappy days are outnumbering the good. Oh well. You're gonna have that.

Motorola V710 Headache
I purchased my Motorola V710 back in November. I have had some issues with it. As a phone, it works very well, one major complaint that I have is that the camera sucks. I like the Blue Tooth feature and the transflash card. I started to have problems with the phone last week, it would only hold a charge for about 4 hours. I went to talk to Verizon, they decided we would try a new battery, of course we had the standard questions, have you played with the camera much today? After I told him that I had made no calls and had not even opened the phone until it started beeping the low battery warning. He started to look for a new battery. He did not have a standard, he only had a extended life, he found that out after he already made an exchange and started to install the new extended life battery. At this point I had three options, 1 leave my battery with him and wait for a new one to come in, 2 have him direct fill an order to my house and then have me send the old battery back to Verizon and 3 purchase the extended battery as an upgrade for $20. I opted for option 3. I got back to work and started to charge my new battery. After about 2 hours, the battery meter was lower then when I started, great I thought, looks like I need to replace the phone. I started to attempt to transfer all my phone data to my transflash card, I could not access it. I reset the phone and tried again, still nothing. I Pulled the card and inserted it into my adaptor and then into my laptop. The laptop was unable to read the card, I tried another card, no luck, I rebooted the laptop. Another card went in first, I was able to read, then the transflash, no more card reading. I decided to leave the card out and see what the phone did. It is now fully charged. I had a friend try the card as well, he was unable to read it also, and the card was very hot when we pulled it from his laptop. It appears to be shorted. I am not sure how that happened, but I guess I will have to get a new TF card.

Update - Review
Sorry for not updating the blog for a few days. I was distracted by some things.
Thursday was the big day for The Revenge of the Sith. I got to the theater at 10AM. I was suprised to see that there was not a line for the show. Apparently the theater added two additional shows before the one we were going to see. We hung out there anyway and occupied our time with the arcade. We found our seats about twenty minutes to 12, the show was going to start at 12:30. The movie lived up to its expectations of more action then the first two. As you all should know, I am a huge Star Wars fan, so do not take this the wrong way but I do have a problem with the movie. In George Lucas' quest to stop the epic series at 6 total movies, and to make this title less then four hours long, he squeezed at least two movies worth of story into 2 hours and 20 minutes. Anakin's seduction to the dark side lasted all of 3 minutes, he had no real struggle within that he really should have had. I was dissapointing that they did not spend more time on this as it is a pivital point to the entire saga. Also the ending seemed like it was just kind of thrown together to end the movie. As far as the action scenes, they were very good. The lightsaber duels were excellent. Like I said though, there was much to the story that needed to be expanded and that was truly dissapointing to me. Will I see this movie again, you bet your sweet ass!

Online Multiplayer
We had some sweet online multiplayer action last night. We started by trying to play COD United Offensive, when we could not get on a server, we switched to Counterstrike and Half Life 2. It was an all around good time. There were plenty of times that even a sailor would blush. We will need to play again.
Less then 24 Hours
The countdown is almost over, there are less then 24 hours until we are sitting in the theater, in fact we will be about 1 hour into the flick at this time tommorow. I am not sure if I will be able to sleep tonight. With 4 days before I have to work again starting as well tomorrow, it should be a relaxing few days.

Recovery Time
Since the other fellars are taking Friday off. I decided that I would also take the extra day for recovery. As the party plans mature, I realized that the day at work would be hell if I was to come in on Friday.
In Living Color
We stopped at Best Buy during lunch because I wanted to pick up the United Offensive expansion for Call of Duty. I picked that up and during the travels through the store, I noticed that they had In Living Color season three available. I have always enjoyed that show and have already obtained season one and two so I grabbed that today also. Something to watch this week if it rains tonight or tomorrow.
Nice Night
I tool advantage of the nice weather last night, I started my evening by mowing the lawn. That was not much fun, so I took the cover off the bike and fired her up. I rode around for awhile then decided that I would stop at the ball park and watch my old softball team play. I hung out for both games and the team actually was looking pretty good. There are alot of new faces but still quite a few of the people that I played with. I was with the team for 7 years. It was kind of hard to be there for the first time since taking off the spikes after last summer. I had many good times with the team but getting time and arthritis have taken their toll and I prefer to be able to walk during the week.
Tuesday
Oh man, I just need to complete the rest of today and tomorrow and then Thursday will be here. I am so ready to have the day off, see Star Wars and party like Christian Slater or Charlie Sheen but without the drugs, just the booze. There will be a trail of debauchery and destruction that will be cut from the Century theaters to who knows where. I imagine that there will also be a trail of unconscious or possibly dead bodies left in out wake. Man, the stories will be told for millennia to come.

Rookie
It is with great pleasure that I can announce that we have a rookie that thinks he can hang with the big dogs. I am hearing rumors that someone who will remain nameless has stated that he will be able to keep up with myself and Chris and Hoby. I figure by about four PM he will be passing out. I think we might have to bring a shaver along and take one of his eyebrows when he goes down, which he will, like a $20 hooker. I think we might have to enforce some type of drinking game / rules for the day. Shots will also be flowing, but we are having some difficulties in deciding what agrees with everybody. We have a Tequila, Whisky and Vodka ban for shots. We will have to find something agreeable for the three of us because if we set it in front of the rookie, he is going to have to drink it no matter what. It will be grand.
My weekend sucked
I was looking forward to a pleasant, relaxing weekend. This however is my life so that did not happen. I was unsure what the weekend plans would be so I decided to stay home Friday night incase the woman did make it down, she had a company party to go to Friday afternoon. I fired up the XBox and played some KOTOR2. About 7 she called and told me that she just got home, she sounded a little drunk. I talked to her for some time, she was going shopping with her mom on Saturday. Fine back to the game after talking to her for about an hour. About 9:30 Chris called and wanted me to go out with him and Jason, I was engrossed in the game and didn't really feel like going out to the bars as they were going to be busy at 10 PM on Friday night. I stayed up till about 4 playing. I woke up around 11 Saturday and checked outside, it was pretty crappy, I fired up some more Star Wars action. I played until about 4 and my phone rang, Kristen was on the phone and crying, I tried to figure out what was wrong and she said that she was on the way over. She showed up and we talked for a few minutes, she was mad at her boyfriend, or I guess I should say fiance. She decided she wanted to get drunk. She wanted me to go with her. She left and told me to meet her at the bar. I got ready and met her out about 6PM, I sat at the bar for a couple of hours, but she really didn't want to talk. I went home with a pretty good buzz and had a couple more at home, rocket fuel rules. I started to play some more and stayed up till about 3 again. I got up about 9 on Sunday, and logged a few more hours on KOTOR2 until I decided that I had not heard from B since Friday and gave her a call. She didn't seem like she wanted to talk and we ended the call after about 30 seconds. Weird. I will have to find out what I did wrong or why she is pissy with me? I will never understand women. Now I am back at work, joy.
Monday May 16th
It is Monday the 16th. To me that means that there are just three days until Star Wars. I am really pumped. Weather.com says that it will be partly cloudy and 76 degrees so it should be a beautiful day to be in the theater.

Reserved
Today I stopped at Gamestop and put down some money to reserve my XBox360. I will now be on the list to get one when they arrive at the stores. It will be grand. Hopefully they do make them backwards compatible cause it would be nice to only have one game system in the living room.
As not to dissapoint
There are currently 6 long and grueling days left before Star Wars. My friend Eric came over last night and decided that he would take me on in Star Wars Trivial Pursuit. He said, I won't have a problem taking you. Well, I heard, how the hell did you know that about 30 times. He could not believe that I knew some of the questions that he thought would be really obscure. Um, I have watched the movies each about 10,000 times. I can receite the dialog word for word along with the actors when watching Episodes 4 - 6. Come on people, I know my Star Wars! But anyway, 6 days to go!!! I am getting a little giddy.
Friday the 13th
Friday the 13th can be freaky to some, for me, my day started with being annoyed. It happens to be one of the managers 50th birthdays up here. The sheep that eat the grass in this area decided that they would decorate the shit out of the wing. Much like they did when a bunch of the nerds got back from anal wrangling and fishing somewhere. They put up pictures of them sticking their cocks into fish and shit like that. Well anyway, they decorated Tom's cube, the walls, the urinals in the can, what ever they could fucking put streamer and tinsel and ballons. So for about the first hour of the day, the monkies were up here in awe kind of like the monolith scene from 2001 a space stupidity. God, listening to nerds and dweebs fawn over an old crotchety bastard that is having a birthday is 1000 times worse then having someone grate their fingernails over a chalkboard while kicking you in the balls and blasting Celine Deion in your ears. I only wish that we all worked seven days a week, cause I really miss the din over the weekend. I might have to start recording the intelligence vacuum so I can play it back over the weekend.
MTV Sucks
Well, last night I was looking forward to the MTV special on the new XBox 360. I was highly dissapointed. What a bunch of fucking fluff. Lets watch some dorks that get paid to play games and some loser no name celebrities play a game for 20 minutes, that is what I was to see to showcase the new XBox. It is a good thing that Hoby put out some useful technical links on his site. Fucking MTV is the suck. I am not looking forward to the wait until November though.

Blogshares
I found Blogshares as an accident. I have the sneeze linked to my blog and happened across this site. It is a game to buy and sell blogs. I have joined and think I will try to make my blog take over the world, well at least gro on blogshares.
One week from today
Today is Thursday, next week at this time we will be getting ready to see the movie of the year. I think we are going to head to the Century Theaters about 10ish to get in line. Hopefully it will be soon enough to get good seats. Hopefully we will be able to all sit together. They are playing more and more commercials for the movie and the new Episode Three game. Quit teasing me. My friend got the game and said that he finished it already and it was kind of short, plus he confirmed my suspicion that it was full of spoilers and pretty much gave away the whole story. I will not play that until after I have seen the movie.
Rain Rain go away
Damn, I am tired of this rain. It needs to stop. My motorcycle is sitting idle, the lawn is getting to be a jungle. I am fucking tired of this rainy bullshit. I want clear and sunny skies and warm weather.

Last Night
As it was rainy and crappy out last night, I decided to play some video games. I fired up Call of Duty for the XBox last night and played for a couple of hours. When it came out we played COD for the PC for many hours and the game for the XBox is very similar, it has taken some getting used to with the controller rather then the trackball and keyboard. I should try to play it online but none of my friends have it. It is never as fun playing with people you don't know. We always get the smack talk going on these things and have a general good time. We talked about playing online together last night but didn't get around to it.
8 Days
It is now a week and one day until the big event. It will be nice to have the day off also. I figured I had better take a few minutes and make the update for today so that my loyal readers know I am still alive, both of them.

Verizon Wireless
They never stop working for you.
Verizon has been advertising their new In plan for Text and Picture messaging. I called them today to see what it entailed and if I wanted to sign up for it. I talked to the rep and she told me that all I would have unlimited Text and Pictures messages in the In Network and 50 shared text or pic messages out of network. All of my text messages are to Verizon customers so that works out great. My current plan have 100 text and 20 pics. Overages are billed at .10 to send and .02 to receive, that is for text or pics. Way better then the .25 that I paid for pics. I now have the ability to send an extra 30 pics to my website if I choose to do so.

May 10th
9 Days left until Star Wars. We happened to talk a little about plans after the movie, we have not set anything definetly. We should start to iron these out though. Hobi-Wans' wife is out of town so it could end up getting a little wild. The dark side will probably control us all that day.
XBox 360
While out to lunch today we stopped at Game Stop. We are well know there by the employees. They happened to mention to us that they would start taking pre orders for the XBox 360 starting on Friday. $50 down will get you one of the newest Microsoft game consoles for sure when they come out. I might even think about putting money down on more then one to see about selling one or two on Ebay during the initial rush. It might be a way to make a quick couple of dollars as the last few game systems like the Nintendo DS and the Sony PSP were hard to come by when they first came out. Will have to see how it goes.

Sam's Club
Wal-Mart is a place I try to avoid. I have a hard time dealing with the "people" that shop there, I use quotes because I am not really sure that some of the shoppers should be classified as homosapiens. I managed to avoid the joy that is Wal-Mart Friday night to be treated instead to the new found joy of Sam's. I should have realized that they are both from the same parent company and put two and two together, I have been there multiple times but have yet to run into quite the sideshow, that is until Friday night. People walking around like fucking zombies, and the scene reminded me of the cantina from Star Wars. There were freaks galore, it was hard to not burst out laughing. I had the circus theme running through my head the whole time I was in there. We saw Huterites, dwarfs, hobbits, wookies and Golum. When we were ready to leave, we got into the shortest checkout lane and happened to hear the guy working the register speak, great a hairlip. Havsss asss nissse daaaysss. As the hairlip finished with the geriatric couple, they happened to see the mother with her boy behind them, well she happened to have some of their take and bake pizzas. The old bag looked at her and said "so do you just take those home and bake them?" As I tried to control my laughter, I said to B, "here's your sign." The crusty old fuckers finally were leaving so the mother and her boy got up to check out, we happened to notice that the kid was digging for gold I think in his drawers. Wow he was really going at it. We were laughing so hard and the lady behind us was laughing too. She was witnessing the same situation. Well we checked out and started to leave. I was happy to be out of there. Well we were making pizza for supper but could not find pizza crust at Sam's, I am still not understanding how they would not have it? We decided to stop at Hy-Vee, which if you have read previous posts is like Hell for me. We got the shopping done and went to check out, we walked up to a pimply faced punk and started to check out. He was too young to scan my Morgan but no one came to his aid. Well, he had scanned everything else and had just the bottle left, he scanned it sheepishly, and I swiped my card, they had everything sacked in one bag and as he handed me my receipt, he posed the question " would you like drive through?" Wow, I thought about saying yes, but I was laughing so hard already that I just had to get out. We were still laughing about the drive through comment last night.
Today is the 9th
Today is the 9th of May, what that means to anybody that has a pulse, is that there are only 10 days until Star Wars drops. Next week is going to be the spectacular event. I am so ready, plus it will be fun to have a day off and hang out with the boys. Not sure if we are going to do some golfing or some drinking after the movie. What ever it is I am sure we will have a good time, and the force will be with us.

Rosie O'Donnel
I came accross this site, dedicated to a touching TV movie that Rosie O'Donnel was in, last week I think. I watched their clip and am reading the coments, hilarious. Rosie is playing a tard in the film, and for some reason she is acting, she should just be herself and save the terrible overacting

May 6th
Today is May 6th and for all of you following the countdown, that means that there are 13 days left until the Feature of the year. The new picture was placed on Wast of Cyberspace, this time I am Yoda. It is a hard decision between Leia and Yoda. Maybe he will put out some other pictures and I will have an even harder decision. I will have to make a decison soon cause I will have to find the stuff to make any costume. It might be hard playing golf later as Yoda though, it will bring back memories of Dorf on golf.
Thunderstorm
I went riding last night, as I said that I would. The night was perfect, for awhile. As I was riding, the clouds started to change from fluffy white to dark and thick. As the sky started turning dark, I could still see blue on the horizon, I thought that it would just blow through. I continued to ride until I felt a couple of raindrops. I aimed the Warrior back towards Scott's house figuring we might get a light shower. I figured I would go grab some supper and then go riding. I parked the bike and was talking to Scott and the rain started, lightly drops were falling. I took off for Taco Bell to get a Grilled stuffed burrito. Yum. As I was eating supper the rain went from soft drops to a downpour. After a few minutes the rain was barely falling and the sun was bright in the sky. As I was heading back to Scott's, a rainbow was sprayed accross the sky. I never did get back on the bike, I did however get my saddle bags mounted.

Beautiful Day
It is a beautiful day out, seems like a nice night to take the motorcycle out. I wish it was Friday instead of only Thursday. That would be too great though. The week so far has been al in all a decent week, I have finished all but 1 of my monthly reports and I should be done with that tomorrow. I am way ahead of schedule for them. This is a good thing. I suppose that the last 40 minutes of my day will seem like the clock has stopped as I anticipate putting some wind through my hair tonight.
Revenge of the Nerds
Today thoughts of the movie revenge of the nerds came to mind. Why you ask? Because I am graced with having a desk in dork central. The Steve Urkels of my company all seem to work within earshot of my desk, and the ones who don't sit close tend to congregate close by. My headphones have been my best friend since I have moved to this new area. After I got back from lunch, there was a ladies aid meeting happening about 10 feet from me, it remineded me of any scene in Nerds that they were together and laughing. The nerds on my floor try to act cool, but they really have no idea what cool is. I wonder if I could get them all to drink some Kool-Aid?
Two Weeks
14 long days is all that is between me and the best movie of the year. I was unaware that there were midnight showings of the movie, although it appears that the 12:01 show is sold out, the 12:10 show still appears to have tickets available. I am debating whether I want to get a ticket for the 12:10 show or just wait until the noon show where we have tickets. I think the boys would be worried about me ruining it for them if I had already watched the movie.

Dressing up
A few weeks ago, I off handedly said that I was going to dress up for Star Wars, as a joke towards Hoby's brother in law Jason, he was all worried that I was going to dress up. I told him hell yeah, and that I was going as Princess Leia. I said that I was going to find a white dress and the buns for the side of my head. the ideas have went back and forth now, Leia, Yoda, Vader and the Emperor. I did purchase the Vader mask and will probably have that on for shock factor to see what everybody says. Waste of Cyberspace has decided to take it upon himself to show me how good I will look dressed up as Leia, follow the link to see for yourself.
Hy-Vee
I truly have a hatred for Hy-Vee. I am not sure where it started, but it reared it's ugly head last night. I needed to stop and get a couple of things last night after work. I usually do my shopping at Sunshine, but at 5 this leads to traffic issues crossing over the interstate on 12th street. The cars back up for blocks over the bridge. I decided that I would tough out going to the evil place. I pulled into the lot and the place was packed, it reminded me of a bee hive, mindless drones walking around aimlessly, I hate drones, and to make matters worse, some bobblehead on a scooter pulled up in the spot accross from me. I could not believe that they gave drooling vegetables licenses but then I remembered that you didn't need one for a scooter. I walked in and had my business in mind, straight to my goal, cat food and supper. Of course I was fortunate enough to run into the mouth breather, he was still wearing his crash helmet from his powerful hog. As I looked at meat for supper, I could hear him breathing heavily out of his mouth, which he neglected to close, ever. I all but ran to the checkout to get the hell out of the writhing circus called HY-Vee. It comes in second only to Wal-Mart for big top entertainment.
15 days
Today Yahoo has a story about Sith and how it is the first Star Wars movie to have a PG13 rating. They talk about all of the gore and bodies. Man, the days are just not going by fast enough. I have two books that I haven't even taken out of the mailers because I do not want to happen on any spoilers, even though I am pretty sure I know what happens, there are bound to be little things that make things end the way they do. I can't wait.

16 Days
The time for joy draws near. 16 glorious days until the end of a saga. I still do not agree with George Lucas and his decision not make the last three movies, episodes 7 - 9. Who knows, he might decide that they need to be done at some time. I would like to see how the story continues after the fall of the Empire, to see what happens as Luke tries to rebuild the Jedi order. I guess we will have to be satisfied with the 6 movies. I managed to get B to watch part of ANH this weekend. She really never got into it. I just cannot understand how women cannot get into such a great story and visually awesome movies. There is action and even a couple of love stories. She did ask a bunch of story questions, so at least she was paying some attention.
An evening at the vet's office
We walked into the waiting room, crate in hand with two furry little kittens inside. The lack of a receptionist was unusual for a vet's office. We stood by the front desk and waited to check in. About 3 minutes into the wait, a young boy came out of the exam room and apparently, not looking where he was going, tripped over the scale and proceded into a prat fall that would have made John Ritter envious. I say prat fall because it looked just like that although it was not intentional, I tried not to laugh, I really did, but B took one look at me trying to keep from laughing and she started to laugh so hard that I could not help but laugh also. I felt really bad for the kid cause we were laughing so hard. We the doc must have heard the commotion and came out and told us that he would be with us shortly. The vet looked at our new additions and said they appeared to be in good health, the exam went pretty smoothly for them, the only thing they really didn't like was when he took their temperature, hey even I winced when he ran the thermometer home. You could just see their little bodies tense up as their turd balers were violated by the cold end of the probe. Even the shots that they received didn't make them flinch as I knew they were still reeling from the unfriendly intrusion. After the exam we loaded them up and took them home. They took a little extra time last night in cleaning the tender area, it was pretty funny.

17 Days
Episode 3 "Revenge of the Sith" will be in theaters in 17 days, May 19th will be the best day of the year. This weekend B came down and wanted to find something to do, we went off in search of the "Friends" edition of Trivial Pursuit. We went to three stores and never did locate it. I however did find some collectibles. I have purchased the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit, chess set, Darth Vader face Mask, a diecast A-Wing, Clone Trooper rifle, and some action figures. I took a look at a few questions from the Trivial pursuit and I do not believe that anyone will be able to beat me. The only ones that I had issues with were from Episode 3. Since it is not out yet, it was tough. In the spirit of my excitement, I think I will start a daily Star Wars countdown until the best day in May comes.
