Supportive

I am trying to be supportive and not let my anger get the best of me. A very good friend of mine happened to run into her drunk recent ex last week at the bar. Well he was drunk and beligerant and she told him that she would take him home so he didn't get arrested. Now mind you that I told her that she should never talk to him or see him again, but sometimes women just need to learn the hard way. Well she did and he started pushing her around and she ended up getting bruised and a broken arm. Well she went to the doctor and told them the story after some coaxing, she was trying to cover for him but the ER is not stupid and they knew what happened. Well, they arrested him at the hospital, good thing for him and probably me. Well now I am trying to avoid saying I told you so, but then she tells me that another one of her friends warned her not to take him home cause he was going to beat her up. Well, we got her out of town so she won't run into him and a restraining order. She was talking about dropping the charges but I think the state will run with this due to the evidance that they have. I have told her that she would be stupid not to press her charges as well, and take him to court for the medical bills that she is going to be stuck with. She is young and stupid and thinks that she loves him, but like I learned in pyschology, the abuser is always so sorry for that and they didn't mean it and it will never happen again. I know if he ever does lay a hand on her again it will be hard for me to not put him in the hospital, one thing I cannot tolerate is guys that think they are all big and tough cause they can beat up a woman. That is complete bullshit. Well, anyway, I will try to update more this week, but the last few days have been busy with the situation.
