Happy Thanksgiving

Well, first I would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving, I will preobably not post anything for the next few days cause of the get togethers for the holiday. Everyone be safe if you are taking a road trip. That said, I will be logging some more time tonight on the 360 after I hopefully get the network connected. I will probably have to stop and get a wireless bridge as I really do not feel like running a cable. The squeeze will kill me if I drill a hole through our wood floors. I need to be on live though cause I need to play some games with my clan.

News

Well, I picked up the 360 last night, well, I guess technically it was this morning. I connected it tonight and fired it up and played some of my 3 games. I really liked COD 2. I was not so impressed with Condemed, I think I will need to play it more to get into it. PGR3 seems like it will be pretty good once I can play a bunch of races. I think that Friday should bring me some good play time. In other notes I managed my 1000th hit to my blog, the hits have been steadil;y increasing over the last few months so someone must want to read what I have to say. Thanks for reading I will continue to try and put out stuff that is not too mind numbing for my loyal readers. I also added my XBox live gamer card to the blog so if there are gamers out there they can see my stats for the games I play and what not.

This is it.

Well, today is the day. I am at work and waiting in great anticipation 5 PM so that I may start my journey down to Sioux Falls. I plan to find a nice place to hang out, have supper, a couple of drinks and enjoy the game. Then the fun begins, hanging out at Gamestop and waiting for the doors to open and hauling all of my goodies out to the car. I will not be able to connect my system and start playing as I did not take tomorrow off and have other things that I will need to do. Oh well. I will take solace in the fact that Hoby and Chris will probably both be playing theirs tomorrow and skipping work.

XBox

Well tomorrow night will bring the boys finding something to do while we all wait to pick up our 360's. I think we need to find a bar to watch the game ast he Vikings play the Packers tomorrow night. I think we could enjoy a couple of totties while cheering the Vikings to victory, although I think that the BG is a Packers fan. Then it is 360 time. I should have taken the next day off as I know I will want to check it out as they are connected and played.

Estrogen Weekend

This weekend is going to be an estrogen fest, the squeeze is going to some craft show on Saturday and wants me to attend, well, as I really love craft show type things, I will probably try to get out of it. On Sunday, it gets even better. She is having some kind of houseware trinket show thing at our house. I am not allowed in my own residence during this event, so I will need to find something to entertain myself. I am thinking nothing says good clean entertainment like a strip club. I might have to investigate this further. Maybe see what the buds are doing. Or maybe work on getting my house ready to sell. I am pretty sure that I have someone that is going to take it off my hands but am not positive yet. With all the work I have put into it, it is a fairly decent place. The next weekend sounds like it might be rough too. The old lady has told me that she is going to jump in the frey at the black Friday sales in Sioux Falls, I wish her the best of luck. I will have to make sure to check that all of her insurance policies are paid up, those cackling hordes of women can get down right nasty at those after Thanksgiving sales. I avoid them much like a cowboy will avoid any stampede, bovine or not.

New Addition

We added a new addition to the household this weekend also. I found an awesome red corn snake at PetCo so I had to bring it home. Maybe in a few years we will start to breed them and make our snake empire to earn our fortunes. I will try to put some pictures up on Flickr so you can all check him/her out. I think it might be a male but we named it as a female for now.

Thanksgiving

Well, Thanksgiving is a week away, but today at work we had a company dinner. Turkey, dressing, potatoes and all the fixings were served. Now of course you have the triptophan working against any further productivity. Next week will be more of the same as I probably will have at least two dinners at family and friends houses. I will be hard pressed to want to travel for these as I am sure that the 360 will be calling me home to play some more. Oh well, you're gonna have that. I guess time spent with the fam will need to be done.

Weather

Well, we are seeing our first glimpse of winter weather today as the snow is falling and the wind is blowing at 30 MPH plus. It looks like I am going to get sent home from work early today, or at least I can leave whenever I want.

Got the Call

Well, I received the call last night confirming that the XBox 360 that I put my deposit down on in May would be mine for the taking on Tuesday Morning. When Might night hits we will be waiting for the doors to open and the 360's to go home with us. I will be ready to play it that night after work. Hopefully it doesn't take too much time to hookup.

XBox 360

Well, I paid off my 360 over the weekend so I should be one of the 20 people that get units from Gamestop. I put down the deposit in May so I have been waiting for some time. I have two games coming as well, Condemed and Project Gotham Racing 3. I figured I have and am still playing Project Gotham 2 so I would enjoy the new one, plus I have seen screen shots from the game and they looked great. I might have to miss a couple of days of work int he near future. I suppose with Thanksgiving I will have some time, although Deer hunting opens up soon too so I will have to spend some time with that.

Yamaha Star Meeting

Well tomorrow is our STAR meeting for the month. I am heading to Sioux Falls to take it in. Anyone that rides and is interested in possibly joining, the meeting is at the Moto Plex in Sioux Falls at 11AM. The group plans rides during the season for the group and other get togethers. We will also have fundraisers for charity. This will prove to be a good time for all. Stop on out.

Uneventful

As I sit here staring at the screen trying to think of something clever to write in the blog, I realize that the life I lead now, is so much more stable then it used to be. The last job left me bitter and annoyed at someone or something everyday. I would barely walk in the building and there were so many idiots there that you could not help but bump into one of them. The little bitches that inhabit that place were always good to get me going. Everybody was always in everyone elses business or complaining about something, being fucking tattle tales. The new company is nice and small and there appears to be only one be-atch, who happens to be out on maternity leave right now, comes to find out that she is not liked because of her catty ways. I certainly do not miss the big corporate life and the bullshit that goes along with it. I do however miss many of the people that I worked with for 8 years. I know some of you read this blog so I just figured I would say hi.

Accident

On the way to Sioux Falls, last night I went past what looked like a very severe accident on the interstate. Traffic was stopped in both North bound lanes and backed up for quite a ways. There were 3 police cars and an ambulance there already and 6 more cars and another ambulance passed me going there as I continued my trip. I will have to check the local news web site and see if they have any information as to what happened. Darts itself was productive last night as we won 9 - 4. Getting back to the winning ways was a good thing. Hopefully we can keep this trend going and continue to win every week. I think that tonight I might have to find time to watch Revenge of the Sith again. The squeeze will be out bowling tonight so it will be a good time. She wants to watch all the other movies before she will see this one, so I need to find time to watch them all again. Darn! ;)

Dart Night

Well, tonight is again dart night. I hope I feel better this week as I was a little under the weather last week. We lost to the first place team. I have not checked the over all standing to see how far we dropped. Oh well. We did all right and didn't loose as many games as we could have. With me being sick and Dusty not being able to play for the most part we came out not getting beat up too badly.

Halloween

When I was a kid and went trick or treating, we had respect, we would go to the door and knock or ring the doorbell once and wait until the home owner came tot he door. Well, All my faith in kids these days has been lost after Mondays debacle that is called Halloween. The squeeze went to the door all but one time, I was unfortunate enough to get the pleasure that time. The door bell rang and I put down what I was doing and started to head to the door, well, obviously I wasn't fast enough, ring ring ring ring ring. I thought that my bell would burn out. I got to the door and didn't get trick or treat. I just heard one of the little bastards yell " I want Reeses!" as he grabbed a handfull of stuff from my bowl that I was handing out candy from. As tehy turned and ran towards the next house, not even a samll thanks was uttered from their greedy little mouths. Another example of the fine youth of today was experienced when the woman went to the door to a bunch of tweens, well the first thing I heard instead of trick or treat was, don't give those girls any candy, they are a bunch of whores. Well, naturally I had to fight off the urge to go to the door to see what the whores looked like. What happened to the manners that I was taught when I was a child. They are gone. I blame this on daycare and videogames. They are the new babysitter. My parents took an active part in my youth so they were able to instill the values that made me the man I am today. I think next year instead of handing out candy, I might hand out a bunch of whoopass or some books on good manners.

Episode III

I completed my collection with the addition of Episode III on Tuesday. Well, if they release a special edition or box set I will probably pick that up. I need to get the old lady caught up and through all of these fine screen creations. She acts like she didn't like the first one she saw, but I think she really does. We are also watching Arrested Development on Fox and she is trying to play that down as well. I see her laughing through out the whole show though.
