An evening at the vet's office
We walked into the waiting room, crate in hand with two furry little kittens inside. The lack of a receptionist was unusual for a vet's office. We stood by the front desk and waited to check in. About 3 minutes into the wait, a young boy came out of the exam room and apparently, not looking where he was going, tripped over the scale and proceded into a prat fall that would have made John Ritter envious. I say prat fall because it looked just like that although it was not intentional, I tried not to laugh, I really did, but B took one look at me trying to keep from laughing and she started to laugh so hard that I could not help but laugh also. I felt really bad for the kid cause we were laughing so hard. We the doc must have heard the commotion and came out and told us that he would be with us shortly. The vet looked at our new additions and said they appeared to be in good health, the exam went pretty smoothly for them, the only thing they really didn't like was when he took their temperature, hey even I winced when he ran the thermometer home. You could just see their little bodies tense up as their turd balers were violated by the cold end of the probe. Even the shots that they received didn't make them flinch as I knew they were still reeling from the unfriendly intrusion. After the exam we loaded them up and took them home. They took a little extra time last night in cleaning the tender area, it was pretty funny.
