Shopping for cold air

Well, over lunch I figured I would do some omre shopping for cold air. So far Menard's has had the cheapest unit for $75, that comes in around 5000 BTU of cold air power. I stopped at Best Buy and Sam's club over lunch today. Sam's has one that is $207 with 8000 BTU, and a remote control. I am not sure that I need the remote, but whynot, just add it to my remote collection in the living room, Another thing that I thought about was to get two of the $75 units and replace the one in the living room and add one in the bedroom. With this setup. I could run the one in the bedroom at night and the other on low during the day. I think I like this setup because I am not sure that the single unit can cool the whole house, well, maybe an 8 or 12 thousand BTU one might but who knows. I miss the central air at the old house.
